What is this French film?

I saw it ages ago, so I can't remember much - it was kinda creepy (in
my opinion) and there was a scene where a man was on the phone to a
woman, wanting to come and meet her but she was saying that he
shouldn't and that her time was up or something...I think it was
because their relationship was over or something.

And there was a scene nearer the beginning with snapshots or
something...the title was The something, and I think it began with M.
