why don't we accept that pop music was always like this?

well, katy perry breaking MJ's record for 5 no.1 singles off 1
album......whats the big deal? neither one of them could actually sing
for ****.......they are just catchy "performers"
yes, pop has always been, and always will be, about "performance" and
"catchy"ness.....
madonna MJ, prince, mariah carey, britney spears, lady gaga, and katy
perry.........
ok there are exceptions like whitney but most of the time it IS about
presentation rather than material.......
so why don't we stop whining and just enjoy pop music like its
supposed to be enjoyed?
